Tamayo Perry, a famed Hawaiian waterman and performer, died at 48 on Sunday from shark bites.
Hawaiian surfers mourned Pirates of the Caribbean star, lifeguard, and surfing instructor Tamayo Perry’s death. Honolulu Emergency Medical Service reported that the 49-year-old actor, who starred in Blue Crush and Charlie’s Angels” Full Throttle, died in a shark attack near Goat Island on Sunday afternoon.
Famous surfer reportedly took off to surf off Mokuauia, near Laie, Hawaii. His body was found at 1 pm, sources said. A caller reported seeing a man with shark bites off Malaekahana Beach near Kahuku. Perry seemed to have multiple shark bites.
After that, emergency services arrived on Malaekahana Beach before 1 pm. Rescuers carried the Ocean Safety lifeguard to shore on jet ski while paramedics announced his death. Perry reportedly died on scene.
