Celebrities discuss treating their dogs on International Dog Day, as cuddles aren’t enough.
On social media, pap spotting, and holidays, Indian celebrities love their pyaare dogs. Celebrities tell us on International Dog Day why loving and cuddling their dogs isn’t enough—they must be spoiled.
KD and Louis
We love pampering our 11-year-old Labrador, Louis, with life’s best. From exquisite delicacies to comfy beds to the latest toys, Louis has the best. I give him lots of cuddles, long walks in his favorite areas, and playtime. We treat Louis like a family member and make every effort to make him feel unique and appreciated.
Harshita Gaur
I sometimes let my dog go free at the beach. We give him a puppers cup every time we go out because rewards are crucial.
Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Hero
Because Hero, his three-and-a-half-year-old Lhasa Apso, is my family and sleeps in my bed, I changed our house rule that dogs couldn’t sleep in beds. Hero has a passport-sized photo of himself, like everyone else in the family. I adore spoiling Hero. We throw his birthday party in the park. All his dog friends are invited to the party!
Danny and Harleen Sethi
We used to drive Danny (the actor’s eight-year-old French mastiff died in April) with the windows down so he could feel the breeze and absorb up the scenery. My mom fed him homemade rice and chicken, which she made for him. That was his favorite too.
Karan Kundrra, Daku-Majnu
Dogs teach us so much with their joyful, loving, unconditional energy! Our lives have improved greatly since adopting Daku and Majnu, his few-month-old bulldogs. The older sibling is obedient, whereas the younger one is a brat who doesn’t listen. I promise to spoil them because we love them!
Jack Pillaonkar, Shriya
I adopted Jack (10 years old) from camp at three months old. His one eye makes him unusual, but he’s still a loving, lively dog. We adore driving with the windows down. He’s a foodie like me, so I occasionally offer him something from my plate, but we’re disciplined.
