The much awaited sequel to Stree (2018), Stree 2, has been one of the most popular films this year. The film’s amazing ensemble is thrilled with the reception and even more pleased to appear in Stree 3, its third installment.
In an interview with indianexpress.com, Janaa actor Abhishek Banerjee, who links the horror comedy films Stree, Stree 2, Bhediya, and Munjya, discussed Stree 3. He said the film’s script is ready and will be a “big epic saga”.
Stree and Stree 2 were released six years apart. However, Stree 3 will likely be released soon and Amar Kaushik will direct for a third installment (fourth in the horror comedy franchise, counting Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya).
Compared to Stree 2, Abhishek stated the film will take less time to make. It will take time, he added. I know it won’t take six years to make it like Stree 2 did because it’s so popular. Yes, for sure. Parts of the script are written. As an actor, I want to be back on that set for a great epic saga.”
Stree series actor Aparshakti Khurana, who plays Bittu, was excited to be in the third film. He stated, “Stree 3’s frame was ready long back, much before Stree 2 released and now we are waiting the film producer Dinesh Vijan and director Amar Kaushik to give more details.”
At the Stree 2 trailer unveiling, producer Dinesh Vijan announced Stree 3. He said Street 2 is a mothership. Many of Stree’s questions are answered. Connections are also shown. What follows. Thama, which we’ll discuss later, followed Stree 2. Since we wrote Stree 3, the gap will be smaller. Stree 2 is bigger, madder, and crazier. The trailer is 10% because we want to save the visual effects for the theatre. If you enter, it’s Maddock’s most paisa vasool film.”
