Under tighter security, Salman Khan resumed filming his upcoming action drama Sikandar. The actor, who has been threatened by incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, is in Hyderabad for a month of filming. The production team has protected Khan by turning the palace hotel where the shoot is taking place into a fortress.
A source close to the production told Mid-day, “There are three standing sets, two in the city, but the main location is the palace hotel. Despite shooting in one part, the production team has secured access to the entire hotel and grounds, turning it into a fortress. Hotel guests must pass two screenings before staying, one by the hotel and one by Salman’s security team. After background and ID checks, only authorized visitors can enter. The insider said staff are screened daily and cannot swap.
Khan’s security detail combines government-authorized and private security. 50–70 NSG commandos, police, and private security guards accompany the actor. Salman has four security layers. The hired private security detail includes ex-paramilitary personnel. Salman’s longtime bodyguard Shera hand-picked the team, and Hyderabad and Mumbai police provided cover. The source said the superstar has 50–70 security personnel.
Sikandar must film two songs with Khan and Rashmika Mandanna in Hyderabad. The songs should showcase the duo’s chemistry and the film’s grandeur.
The production team is taking no shortcuts to ensure a safe and smooth filming process due to the high-stakes shoot and ongoing security threats. The superstar and crew’s safety is paramount.
