The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) was provided with the theatrical trailer for the film Dunki. Yesterday, on November 25th, the caravan was given a U/A certificate, which indicates that it was approved by the Censors. According to the censor certificate, the length of the trailer is two minutes and forty-one seconds.
Of particular interest is the fact that Sahil Chandramohan Khosla is listed as both the applicant and the producer on the certificate. Sources claim that he is a member of Rajkumar Hirani Films, the same company that is responsible for producing the movie. Rather than being completed by Red Chillies Entertainment, which is owned by Shah Rukh Khan, the censorship process was finished by Rajkumar Hirani’s production business. This is a big change.
Earlier, the creators of Dunki had the certification of as many as six teasers completed. On November 2, the first teaser was made available to the public, and on November 22, the song “Lutt Putt Gaya” was made available. At this point, it is not certain whether the creators of Dunki will reveal the remaining five teasers or whether they will go ahead and launch the theatrical trailer.
