Peggy, a pug-Chinese-crested mix, has gone viral and gained 241k Instagram followers. Deadpool & Wolverine, which opens today, stars this adorable pooch as Dogpool, Wade Wilson’s new sidekick. Peggy is six and from East Yorkshire’s Middleton family. Holly Middleton fell in love with the dog after seeing her in an internet adoption post. Peggy, the runt of an unexpected litter, was 6 months old and all her siblings were adopted. Her unusual appearance—a nearly hairless dog with a tuft of hair on her head and a lolling tongue—prevented adoption. Holly says, “She fits into our family perfectly like she’s always been there.” My youngest son is extremely attached to her. He was 3 when we brought her home, so they grew up together.”
