When asked about Raavan, Mukesh responded, “Yaar woh bhi toh pyaar mein hi they na? Pyaar mein revenge lekin. Jitna mujhe samajh mein kyuki woh wicked toh. Unko revenge toh lena hi tha, apne behen ke. Wow, I thought I was in trouble. You think about a taraf. Tha toh yudh mein dono apne jagah thik. He sought revenge and loved. I believe Raavan was nasty and vengeful, yet he loved his sister. Ram and Raavan were both right).
He said, “Bohut daar lagta hain kyuki Ramayana ko leke baat karna aajkal hamare desh mein…” (I’m afraid to discuss Ramayana because of our country’s situation).

Ranbir Kapoor plays Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Sheeba Chaddha as Manthara in Ramayana. The film’s official announcement is still pending.
