When told that she is one of the highest-paid actresses, Kareena said that the film and what it gives her always come first. What Kareena said
Kareena expressed hope when reminded that she is among the few female performers making ₹10-15 crores during an interview. Want that! I chose projects that are not about money, not because of my acting. I’ve always considered doing a film for less if I like a character. It depends on my mood, the film, and the part. I suppose I can deliver now. If it’s a big-budget commercial film, your words may be less important. This is my husband’s home. We are conducting this interview and sitting in that location. Just struggling! (laughs)”
On Singham Again
Kareena also discussed reuniting with Ajay Devgn for Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. She said: “I’ve been lucky to work with Ajay so often and knew him even before I was an actress. He’s a good performer and person. I’m friends with this actor. We have joy making movies together. 25-30 years of friendship and acquaintance. He comprehends the balance of cinema and its role in storytelling. He has so much experience.”
Kareena last appeared in Tabu and Kriti Sanon’s Crew. She will reprise her role in Singham Again, starring Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, and Deepika Padukone. Singham Again hits theaters on November 1, 2024.
Kareena will appear in Hansal Mehta’s The Buckingham Murders on September 13 before Singham Again.
