All think south film is about mythology
Nikkhil said that while everyone thought south Indian films were about mythology, they were about rooted heroism. He stated, “Everyone thinks of south cinema as mythology, but they take raw emotion. Consider making a film about water irrigation canals. They add amazing action and heroism.”
He was informed Bollywood had ‘forgotten heroism’ when he met Arjun to discuss a film. “When I met Allu Arjun and we were talking about making a film, he looked at me and said, ‘What’s wrong with Bollywood? Heroism is lost on you. Heroism, not mythology, is lacking in Hindi films.
CBFC and Team Vedaa
Nikkhil’s Vedaa, starring John Abraham and Sharvari, opens August 15. Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule was planned to release on the same day, but it was delayed until December.
The Vedaa crew recently stated that the CBFC delayed film certification ‘despite best efforts’. They said they requested for certification after viewing the film to the CBFC on June 25. Two days ago, the film was rated U/A without cuts.
Pushpa 2: The Rule
Pushpa 2: The Rule, Sukumar’s sequel to Pushpa: The Rise, stars Arjun as Pushpa Raj. Also returning are Rashmika Mandanna and Fahash Faasil as Srivalli and Bhanwar Singh Shekawat.
After 2021, Arjun hasn’t starred again. However, he has approved Sriram Venu, Trivikram, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s unproduced projects.
